Did you know it's possible to have peace when going through situations that are out of your control? Recently things were challenging for me. Now that it's over it seems like it went by so fast, but then it seemed like an eternity!
There is so much going on that it seems there is no peace. Between family, work, finances, and relationships we have a lot going on. Not only are you affected but your family and those around you as well.
Here's the thing about life, you have to play the hand you're dealt. Not all of us have great cards each time. I've been dealt crappy hands plenty of times, but I never quit playing. I work with what I have. This could be one of those times for you.
When I felt like things were falling apart, I went through a range of emotions. Being pregnant, a shit load of drama from people in my life. I was hurt, angry, I felt alone and even betrayed. It was hard to find peace and balance.
This is for my sisters (or brothers) that are going through the struggle with the one they love.
These are the steps I took to achieve peace during the storm:
- Started a prayer and gratitude journal
- Prayer, meditation, tarot, and reading the bible
- Stopped talking about it (to the wrong people)
- Focused on myself and my girls
- Explored my interests (my blog and now business)
- Asked for help
- I was honest about my feelings
I had to find something good in this situation. Sometimes achieving peace means redirecting your energy and attention to something else until the storm passes.
I have mastered the art of finding the silver lining in the cloud. Achieving peace can look different for you. Find ways to grow and develop from life's challenges.
