Birds are chirping, flowers in bloom! The sun is shining and windows are open letting fresh air in. Spring Cleaning clears out the stagnant energy of winter and prepares for growth.
Before I realized it, I was already spring cleaning. I've cleaned out my closet, eliminating clutter, getting more active, and even shifting my thoughts. This weekend I have the windows open and took the time to make a wonderful, all natural cleaner with essential oils. Not only am I getting my home clean, essential oils also boost my mood and leave the most amazing smell.
I wanted to share some ways I am spring cleaning my mind, body, soul, and yep even my finances. I hope this gives you some ideas on how to shed the dead of winter and enter spring with new life and energy!
A mind is a terrible thing to waste. I've learned how not to spend so much time living in the past or stressing over the future. Being present is how you can experience life to the fullest and not allow your emotions to control you. I've evaluated how I want to feel, what I want in my relationships, and how I can truly focus on my goals. Here are a few more ideas for spring cleaning your mind:
Review your goals
Reach out to friends
Evaluate your mood
Open your heart to love
Release old ways of thinking
Learn something new
This includes not just our bodies, but the physical things in our lives. If you're like me during the winter you aren't as active. Now that the weather is warming up, I'm committed to getting my body moving!
I'm clearing out things that no longer serve me, including foods. You can also thing about the people and places in your life. If they aren't helping you grow now is a great time to make some changes.
Here are some more ways you can spring clean your body and physical life:
Move your body
Get a massage
Clean your home
Donate unused items
Eat healthier foods
Clean out your car
Switch up your wardrobe
Take a trip
Start a garden
The last few months I have been more focused on my spiritual life. That area of my life I am really happy with, but there is always room for improvement. One thing that I am committing to is connecting with others that share the same beliefs as me. The areas that I am addressing are The 4 Layers of Life. These are the areas that I focus on to create holistic change in my clients lives. Often, these areas can over lap each other. Here are some ways that you can spring clean your spirit!
Spend more time dedicated to your spiritual practice
Bring your spiritual practice into your daily life
Examine your beliefs
Connect with others on the same spiritual path
Release judgment about other spiritual beliefs
Join or create a study group
Develop a self-love practice
Money, money, money, money! I said it! While I am not necessarily a financial coach, I know how important money is in our daily lives. This is one area that is often looked over.
Money relates to every area of our lives. We need it and a lot of you have bad thoughts about money. I'm evaluating my budget and spending habits. More ways to spring clean your finances below:
Clean out your wallet
Open a new savings account
Invest in a coach
Look for ways to cut spending
Talk to a financial counselor
Evaluate your thoughts about money
Find ways to increase your income
File your taxes
Destroy old documents you no longer need
Positive Forward Movement™
My business can fit under each of these categories. It is as much a part of me and my life, as it is an actual business. Trust me Positive Forward Movement™ is getting some spring cleaning too. I have live and virtual events planned to educate people about what I do and how it can change their lives!
My social media is getting a makeover too! You will be seeing more of me with more video, plus I am incorporating more healing and aromatherapy information. The Podcast will be changing a bit too. Changing my podcast, and launching Healing Circles!
I started the Love Line because I wanted to get personal with people and really connect.
I also looked at my actions and my relationships. I got really clear on the life that I wanted for myself. Spring Cleaning doesn't always mean you have to throw stuff out. Sometimes it means you need to fix what's already there and appreciate what you have.
I'm excited! Like super excited about everything that is to come in this new season. During the winter I spent a lot of time planning, working behind the scenes, and learning. I planted the seeds and now I can't wait to see what grows this spring. It's time for me to bloom!!
