What are you passionate about? What is something that you can do for yourself that allows you to fully express who you are? This is something that we covered in the last Healing Circle. Reconnecting with your passion isn’t just about finding a hobby. It’s also reclaiming a part of you, that may have gotten lost.
What Lights You Up Inside?
Be honest and ask yourself “What do I do for ME?” It’s not selfish. We give and sacrifice to the point that it hurts us the most. You don’t have to wait until the kids are grown up, or until you have more time, or anything else. Now is the time for you to do something you love.
Maybe you want to revisit ballet or some other form of dance that you once loved. Have you had the urge to mold something with your hands? Look into local pottery classes and workshops. Whatever it is from aerobic yoga to learning about zoo animals, give yourself the permission to discover what you’re passionate about and explore that!
Explore that Wild, Crazy Idea!
This isn’t something you have to tell your friends or run by anyone. If you think it’s crazy, good! Run with the crazy and see where it leads. The last month, I had a lot of upsetting things going on that took my attention away from my business. I needed an outlet and one of the things I did was making sure to get outside. I even did some running again which was amazing!!
I also found a lot of time to reconnect with Tarot. I read tarot professionally and started by reading for myself over 10 years ago. I started reflecting on my journey to reading tarot for others as part of my work and it really lit me up inside. I read and research a lot about Tarot. I’m always taking classes to deepen my knowledge and understanding of Tarot. Even with all of this, I didn’t realize it was something that I was passionate about.
Things that I am interested in like crystals and tarot were taboo, until recently. Living in the Bible Belt, I didn’t get to explore my interests or openly talk about them either. So I was in the closed until a couple years ago when my mentor Christina Ambubuyog helped me accept my gifts and put them out there. Talk about life changing!!
Sharing and Discovering My Passion
I noticed the excitement that I get when I do readings and talk about Tarot, a few months ago I started an Instagram account just so I could share more about my personal tarot and spiritual journey. That has been great, but then I was inspired to start a blog and a podcast to document my journey!!
Except I didn’t have the bandwidth for two projects. This one thing has led to a BIG thing because I followed my passion. Because I love the healing energies in Tarot, it helped me to shift my business away from coaching, to focus on doing more of what I love, energy healing and tarot guidance.
Kicking off the month of August talking about passion was no mistake. I want you do discover something that lights you up, so you can have an outlet and expression of yourself. It makes a big difference!
Let me know in the comments if this has inspired you and tell me what are you passionate about.
