A shift is a change in direction, that generally refers to a small change. So kind of like baby steps.
These small shifts, can lead to dramatic changes over time. It makes me think of the weather how a shift in pressure can cause changes in the temperature. All too often we resist change because it’s different. It can be uncomfortable and bring up a lot of emotions, including fear.
Thinking about some of the changes I’ve had to make in my own life, many were forced, but when I made the decision to shift consciously not only was it empowering but it was easier.
I didn’t say easy, because even an empowered change like starting a budget, speaking out, or fitness challenges us in many ways.
Before we see outer change it starts within your heart and mind. You’ve got to be committed to the process and allow.
Allowing is hard because we crave control. When we can’t control things we feel lost, confused, and powerless. Trying to control creates resistance.
Resistance makes change even harder.
If you’re in the shift of life, thing about if you are resisting change or if you are open to the newness that can come your way.
I’m excited that we’ll be diving into the topic of Shift next week during Spiritual Love Week! I have some amazing women lined up to share their knowledge, gifts and insights when it comes to making shift happen.
