I have a little over 100 Tarot and Oracle card decks. It's about time for a recount because I recently added some new decks to my collection. Collecting different decks is a lot of fun for me because they are all unique and call in a different energy. I am sure my collection will grow even more by the end of the year. I have decks that I use daily, and some that I haven't used yet. I know that I can't use all of them for study right now so I decided that I would start with
two three decks.
I'm choosing one Tarot and two Oracle cards deck to work with. Generally, when I read for myself and clients, I use multiple decks. I use Oracle cards before starting the actual reading and I also pull from an Oracle card deck that resonates or is related to my client's question.
For the Tarot, I will be working with the Radiant Rider-Waite-Smith deck. I have found myself working with that deck a lot more recently and for studying the Tarot it's best to start with a more traditional deck.
I do have an original Rider-Waite-Smith deck. It's the very first Tarot deck that I purchased, but I love the vibrancy of the Radiant version of that deck. I use my original deck when I'm doing ritual work.
I was going to start with just one Oracle card deck, but I just got this awesome Moon Oracle deck that I'd like to work with so I am including that deck, along with the Chakra Wisdom Oracle deck.
The Chakra Wisdom deck resonates with me because I am an energy healer. My journey started with me being introduced to my chakras through yoga.
Discovering my own Chakra system helped me to heal and recover from my own personal trauma. I've been wanting to learn more about these cards because I use them during Chakra Healing Sessions.
One thing about me is that I love to learn and I take the work that I do seriously. I know that reading for others isn't something to be taken lightly. People put their trust in me and their future in my hands.
As a Professional Tarot reader, I don't necessarily predict the future. The Tarot can certainly show likely outcomes and give detailed information, but telling the future, that's not my style of reading.
I read to empower others and identify energies, blocks, and patterns. My goal is to help my client make their own decision. I keep their needs first and always provide guidance throughout each reading.
This is part of why I am doing this Tarot Journey because I want to be the best and really sharpen my skills. So for my studies, I am starting at the beginning. I have taken a ton of Tarot courses and have several certifications.
I got my first tarot deck around 2006 and would read for myself. I started reading for others and ‘came out' as a reader only a few years ago.
Reading professionally is totally different from just being a hobby/personal reader. I get great feedback from clients and just want to go deeper in studying the tarot.
Let me know if you are a reader and what deck you use when you're studying.
