Just because you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel don't mean you stop pushing forward!
So my best friend and I had that talk. You know the one where everything in life is going wrong and not according to how we planned it as high school graduates.
Life and the curveballs it throws, the grown up issues no one really told you about…the ones that leave you feeling like a total screw up. As adults reflecting it's easy to get stuck on the negatives of life, but there are so many positives. We just aren't always ready or willing to see them.
Choose to See the Light
Yea those…as we poured out our woes and compared troubles, we stopped. Then we laughed and started looking at the things to be happy about and proud of, remembering that eventually everything would be alright.
No matter what things will happen in life. Life will hand you lemons, it's up to you how you handle it. We could have gone on complaining about life, instead we choose to look at all the things we have to be grateful for.
Sometimes you can't see what's in front of you, or the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, but you still have to keep going because there is ALWAYS something worth fighting for. This I know to be true because in my darkest hours, being a victim of domestic violence and dealing with depression, even when I wanted to give up, I still kept fighting.
Despite everything I've gone through, I will continue to live, love, and be happy! In fact all the things I've gone through helped me discover my purpose and passion for helping you heal your heart and love your life.
Celebrate Your Successes
Take time to reflect on your life and make a list of all the successes and accomplishments you've achieved.
All the challenges, negative thoughts, bad energy, naysayers, and drama that I've been through are only making me a better person. I think of them as spiritual and mental exercises to strengthen me at my core. The sandpaper of life is making me more polished and smooth.
Bottom line is I will succeed, you will succeed, and that light will reappear. The light is there, it's just a matter of you being able to see it. If you are going through challenges in life right now, find the silver lining and think about what you can learn from it.
Oh yeah about that light, that light is you and that light is me. We are the light in the tunnel, we light our path. Sometimes we can't see it because we are so busy not believing we can make it through the tunnel, it is there it never goes away.
Just focus and keep moving. Positive forward movement will inspire great change in us all!
